Exclusive Interview: Claes, the Creative Force Behind Planet ETN on Electroneum

As an early Electroneum investor since its 2017 launch, I have witnessed the highs and lows of the crypto world firsthand.

Over the years, I have crossed paths with many passionate individuals, but few connections have evolved into the genuine friendship and shared vision I now share with Claes, the brilliant mind behind Planet ETN.

Our story began subtly during bear markets, chatting on and off about blockchain potential. Unknowingly, we were building toward something special. Both of us remain committed to advancing Web3 in our unique ways.

When I noticed community members craving a space to discuss Electroneum Web3 topics freely, I launched the ETN Club Telegram group. Almost immediately, within hours or days, Claes joined. His impact was instant.

He helped organize topics, dove into deep discussions on chain growth, guided admin decisions, and created stunning professional artwork, logos, and marketing materials for the entire electroneum (ETN) community to use on the very first version of Planet ETN.

This happened long before planets became NFTs. Alongside other OGs, Claes helped ignite the group’s momentum, attracting new users and fostering real grassroots energy.

Building a Web3 Hub: The Rise of Planet ETN

Through countless private conversations, mixing personal stories with Electroneum insights, I discovered Claes’s extraordinary skills.

He is a true SEO master with decades of experience crafting sites that dominate search results through structure, intent, and discoverability.

Although Planet ETN began as tools for online marketing and logo overlays, an inspiring NFT collection on the Electroneum blockchain followed some months later. All 109 unique planets minted and sold out in days on Electroswap DEX.

Each granted owners a stake in this evolving Web3 portal. Time flew as systems developed, blending Web2 familiarity with Web3 ownership. Claes launched the full platform, and I hosted a live X Space for the community’s firsthand introduction.

Today, owning a planet lets you create your own Electroneum powered domain for projects, influencer pages, or creative hubs. Posts are Google indexed, with content already appearing on high authority sites like KuCoin.

This drives valuable link juice and boosts visibility. Numerous Planet ETN pages rank on Google’s page 1 and 2 for targeted terms, proving the platform’s SEO strength in 2026.

This journey has brought challenges and triumphs, but the joy of seeing a grassroots idea bloom into a thriving ecosystem is unmatched.

10 Questions with Claes: Vision, Creativity, and Future Plans for Planet ETN

To share Claes’s passion directly, I asked him 10 questions about Planet ETN. His thoughtful answers reveal the depth, creativity, and long term thinking behind this Electroneum Web3 project.

1.  What is your favorite planet?
I’d say Titanus. I don’t own it myself, but I’ve always been drawn to titanium, whether it’s watches, knives, or things built to last. The planet’s lore came together really well, and the “Anvil of the Stars” reference felt like a natural fit.

2.  What originally inspired you to create Planet ETN?
It really came from my background in building community hubs and portals, which is something I’ve always enjoyed. After the old Electroneum community forum closed there was a bit of a void, and while I understand why, the alternatives didn’t really work for me. I’ve always believed strong communities need to grow from the grassroots, driven by real people with genuine interest, not forced from a business or enterprise angle.

3.  When designing a new planet, what usually comes first: the material, the look, or the idea behind it?
It usually starts very structured, with the underlying traits like colour, material and specs. I spent a lot of time making sure there was a balanced spread across the whole collection before moving on, so no single trait or colour dominated. Once that was in place I created the lore, and as a Swede English isn’t my first language, so AI became a really useful tool to help keep a consistent tone and avoid clumsy phrasing. This honestly made the project possible for me as a solo creator.

4.  Do different planet materials have any deeper meaning or future plans above creating a project page?
At the moment the materials mainly help give each planet its own identity and character. That said, they were chosen carefully and leave room for future ideas if the platform evolves in ways where materials could take on a deeper role.

5.  Which planet surprised you the most in terms of interest or demand?
None of them really shocked me in terms of demand, but it’s been interesting to see a clear pattern. The planets I personally felt strongest about visually tend to be the ones valued higher, while a few I wasn’t completely happy with have sold for less. It was a good reminder that if something doesn’t feel 100 percent right, others often sense it too.

6.  How did you decide when a planet was ready to be added to the collection?
A planet felt ready when the traits, lore and visual identity all came together in a way that felt good. I did have to be realistic with time as well and avoid getting stuck endlessly tweaking, so sometimes it was about knowing when to move on. That said, I was genuinely happy with most of them when they went live.

7.  What has been the hardest part of building Planet ETN so far?
It took a lot more time than I ever expected, especially getting into the Web3 side of things like digital ownership and what actually happens when that ownership changes. That logic is very different from how traditional Web2 platforms work, and it took several iterations to really get it right. It also took time to explain the whole concept to my developers, as Web3 and NFTs were fairly new territory for them as well. At the same time, it was genuinely fun to build, and the creative freedom in Web3 reminds me a lot of the early days of the internet when people built things just because they could.

8.  What’s your long-term vision for the Planet ETN website?
Long term, I hope Planet ETN can help fill the community gap in the Electroneum ecosystem and serve as a welcoming on ramp for new users. Planet ETN is built to harness the energy of users, creatives, builders and developers, and compress that energy into a kind of community supernova that can shine very bright for newcomers. I also think the timing is very good, both within Electroneum’s own timeline as it starts to push more for users, and more broadly from a tech perspective. With AI, it’s never been easier for anyone to create good text, content and visuals, regardless of language background, which is extremely valuable for a platform like Planet ETN that thrives on planet profiles and user generated content.

9.  Do you see Planet ETN playing a bigger role within the Electroneum ecosystem over time?
I do think Planet ETN can grow into a bigger role over time. A lot of work has gone into SEO and automation, and in many ways it’s a place where I’ve condensed everything I’ve learned about search and visibility over the last 25 years. Today Planet ETN already distributes content across multiple social platforms and into the ETN Club Telegram, and the plan is to expand that further with channels like Medium or Substack. If the community continues to grow, this could become a very powerful way for projects to reach the wider Electroneum ecosystem, though of course we’ll have to see how it develops.

10.  Where would you like Planet ETN to be this time next year?
Ideally, I’d love to see around 40 to 50 active planets by then, because that alone would create a huge amount of ongoing activity. At that point it would almost feel like a living crypto magazine for the Electroneum Smart Chain, driven by many different voices rather than a single outlet. I’d also love to see more technical users and developers get involved, sharing tutorials or deeper insights, and if that happens I’m more than happy to help make that content easy to find and accessible. Most of all, I hope we can keep the positive and constructive vibe the community has built over the last year.

Claes’s dedication shines through every answer, turning Planet ETN into more than a platform. It is a beacon for Electroneum Web3 adoption in 2026. If you are exploring Electroneum NFTs or community driven projects, this is one to watch closely. The future looks bright, one planet at a time.

Planet Lore

Carceron is the Dominion’s prison world, a bleak and unforgiving sphere where the galaxy’s most feared criminals are abandoned. Vast complexes scar the surface, patrolled by guards whose wealth is envied, yet whose daily duties remain hidden behind walls of silence. Whispers tell of innocents cast into the same pits, their pleas lost in the dust and iron air. Few who fall to Carceron ever leave; the rare escapees speak of horrors half-glimpsed and corridors without end. To most, it is not a planet, but a sentence.
