Install MetaMask & add Electroneum (ETN)

What you’ll learn

  • Install the MetaMask browser extension
  • Create a wallet & secure your 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase
  • Add Electroneum Mainnet with Chainlist (Chain ID 52014)
  • Find your address / QR code to receive ETN

Before you start

  • Use a trusted browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge)
  • Only download from metamask.io
  • Prepare a strong, unique password

Quick steps

  1. Install MetaMask from metamask.io.
  2. Create a wallet, set a secure password, and write down your 12 words (offline).
  3. Open chainlist.org → search Electroneum → Connect → Add to MetaMask (Chain ID 52014).
  4. Switch network to Electroneum Mainnet and use your address/QR to receive ETN.

Tip: Your account address is the same across EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, BSC, ETN). Solana is different.

Why MetaMask + ETN?

MetaMask is the most widely used EVM wallet. Electroneum’s EVM network gives you familiar tools with fast, low-cost transactions for tokens, NFTs, and dApps.

Security essentials

  • Store the 12 words offline (paper/metal). Never share them.
  • Use unique passwords. Consider a hardware wallet for larger balances.
