How to Import Your ETN Wallet into Zypto App (Step-by-Step Guide)
This guide shows you how to export your private key from the Electroneum app and import your ETN wallet into the official Zypto app.
The process is simple and only takes a few minutes. Before you begin, make sure you have access to your Electroneum app, your email inbox, and the Zypto app installed on your phone.
Step 1: Open the Electroneum App
Log in to your Electroneum app and look for the new Download Private Key option. Press it to begin the export process.
Step 2: Start the Private Key Export
Press Begin Export, then choose Send Confirmation Email. This is required to confirm that you own the email address connected to your account.
Step 3: Enter the Confirmation Code
Go to your email inbox and find the message containing the 6-digit confirmation code. Return to the Electroneum app and enter the code to continue.
Step 4: Read the Security Information Carefully
Before downloading the file, the app explains how the private key PDF is protected.
The PDF password is:
- Your PIN
- Followed directly by your password
- No spaces in between
For example, if your PIN is 12345 and your password is Password123!, then the PDF password would be 12345Password123!.
Step 5: Enter Your PIN and Password
Fill in your PIN and password in the Electroneum app, then press Download to generate and save the PDF file containing your wallet details.
Step 6: Save the PDF File
Save the file to your phone. Before confirming anything, it is a good idea to open the PDF first and make sure it works correctly.
Step 7: Open the PDF and Unlock It
Open the PDF file in your browser or PDF viewer. In the video, the file is opened in Firefox, but Chrome or another browser can work too.
When prompted for the password, enter:
- Your PIN
- Followed directly by your password
- No spaces
Once the PDF opens, you will see your wallet information, including your public wallet address and your private key.
Step 8: Copy Your Private Key
Locate the private key in the PDF and copy it carefully. This private key gives full access to your wallet, so keep it secure and never share it with anyone.
Step 9: Open the Zypto App
Now open the official Zypto app on your phone. Choose the option to import an existing wallet.
Step 10: Import the Wallet with Your Private Key
In Zypto, select Import with Private Key. You can give the wallet a name, such as ETN Wallet.
When choosing the network, select ETN, since Electroneum is an EVM-compatible chain.
Step 11: Paste the Private Key and Import
Paste the private key you copied from the PDF into the correct field in Zypto, then press Import.
Step 12: Confirm Your ETN Balance
Once the wallet has been imported, you should see your ETN balance in the Zypto app. At this point, your wallet is ready to use, and you can send, receive, and manage your ETN directly from Zypto.
Important Security Notes
