Introducing Chrono Duels | Tactical Timed Combat

Welcome to the high-stakes world of Chrono Duels, a tactical combat simulation where time is your most valuable resource. Whether you are a seasoned strategist or a newcomer to competitive dueling, this guide will help you understand how to navigate the arena and claim victory.

The Flow of Combat: Action Slots
Unlike traditional turn-based games where you wait for your opponent to act, Chrono Duels uses a Simultaneous Turn System.

A match consists of 15 Action Slots. For every slot, both you and your opponent choose your moves at the same time. Once both players are ready, the actions resolve, and the result is calculated instantly. This means you aren't just reacting to what your opponent did; you are trying to predict what they will do next.


Managing Your Resources
To succeed, you must balance two key elements:

1. Energy Points (EP): While basic attacks are free, your most powerful abilities cost Energy. You naturally regenerate +5 EP every slot, so you must decide when to spend it on a big "Super" move and when to save up.
2. Cooldowns: Powerful moves can't be spammed. Once you use a specialized ability, it enters a recharge state for a set number of slots. Timing your big hits is the difference between a master and an amateur.

Three Balanced Paths
Chrono Duels features a "Rock-Paper-Scissors" philosophy through three distinct classes, each designed to counter and be countered by the others:

The Berserker (Power & Pressure): With the highest HP in the game, the Berserker is built for aggression. Their signature "Guard Break" is the only move in the game that can pierce through shields and parries, making them a nightmare for defensive players.
The Sword Master (Finesse & Counters): The Sword Master is a specialist in prediction. While they have moderate health, they possess powerful "Parry" and "Reflect" moves that can completely negate incoming damage and set up devastating counter-attacks.
The Chronomancer (Control & Disruption): Though they have the lowest health, the Chronomancer has the highest Energy pool. They win by manipulating the rules of the game—using "Stuns" to skip enemy turns or "Silence" to prevent the opponent from using Energy moves entirely.

Early Access and Proof of Concept
Chrono Duels is currently in its "Proof of Concept" phase, serving as a demonstration of fast-paced, simultaneous tactical combat.
