Whats your thoughts on using ai as the final product image..

For the first time on my character (Cyril), I thought I would just ask it to improve the image.
I've used it for animation (grok)

So I thought, hey why not try Chatgpt .everyone else seems to utiliseai as a tool. Holy mother of God.

I'm blown away, its pretty much the way I would love the art to look like.

It made me realise I need to practice more.

My problem is I want the character to be hand drawn, by me no ai only ai animations that keep the drawing as I present it, until I can get a full blown team going (way way down the line)

I personally feel like I would be cheating, even though it is just "improving" or using a tool..
I took 2 days to do the image in question, ai took the pee and redrew it in less than a minute.

Mind blown..

So the question is

Would it be better to continue to hand draw and release those as I made them.

Or

Let ai "improve" and release them as upgraded.

Or

Use ai to do one offs.. keep everything as it is..

P.s sorry for the wall of text.

I just need input, as this has stopped me in my tracks.

You can clearly tell AI is far superior, I will use this as a teaching instructor for shading lighting etc. But damn it does it well.

I personally think the line between digitally hand-crafted and AI will be very fuzzy in the future. Tools like Photoshop and Illustrator is getting more and more AI help tools and this is going to increase rapidly to the point where its no longer a real question if things are AI or not.

There are some opposition to AI now in the beginning which there always is in the beginning of new tech. Slowly though I see more and more acceptance as the AI quirks gets smaller and smaller. Every gamer was against frame-generation in the beginning but DLSS and FSR are getting to the point where it is just a lot better.

My opinion is if AI can help make it better then go for it!
